Boston-based artist, producer, singer, and beat maker The Kid returns with his latest album, The Kid and Friends, a record home to over a dozen collaborations. He started recording the project in 2016, when he managed to get Rome Fortune to feature one of his beats, realizing talented rappers would be interested in collaborating with him.

He’s come a long way since, as he releases the full album featuring collaborations with CyHi The Prynce, IDK, Mick Jenkins, G Perico, Kemba, theMIND, Supa Bwe, Mir Fontane, Dutch ReBelle, Gio Dee, Michael Christmas, ScienZe, Tdot illdude, Daddio Smoov, Blanco Black, as well as members of his own band, Pineapple Jam, where he is the lead singer and drummer.

The Kid And Friends produced by The Kid, mixed by Mertz, and mastered by The Arcitype at The Bridge Sound & Stage.

Since high school, The Kid has been making beats, starting on a Boss BR-532 Digital Multi Track Recorder, then a Tascam DP-008 8-track digital Portastudio, a Cubase SX 3, before eventually getting Ableton Live 9, Native Instruments, Autotune, a Roland FA-06 keyboard, and an iMac Desktop computer to go along with his microKorg, the latest equipment he has been using for the recording of The Kid And Friends.

Out of the albums’ 11 tracks, 3 have been released with animated visuals;  “Yeah“, “You Can’t Get This Money“, and “Dark.” In parallel, The Kid sells beats on his website under the section, “Album Pack$“.
