AdELA is a singer, songwriter, and rapper taking over the music scene by choice. Her subtle yet dominant nature shines through in her artistry. She has created a name for herself just as much behind the scenes as she has for herself front and center.

In her latest single ‘My Green’ AdELA is letting everyone know she’s all about her green. “My Green’ was recorded pre-pandemic at IMI Studios, produced by Ms Madii and Alonda Rich on background vocals. This is a record about bossing up, living your life apologetically, and getting your money. The visuals for this track were directed by AdELA herself, with a green, black, and brown color scheme adding to the grit in her lyrics.

She briefly tells us about her creative process:

“In the music industry, women are often overlooked when it comes to the business side of things,” says the rapper “In addition, despite a highly competitive environment we are always expected to remain co-operative and pleasant. This track serves as a reminder that we mean business, our time is money, and we are coming for the bag.”

In the video, AdELA boldly looks into the camera as she recites her enticing lyrics. She is seen in four different fly outfits throughout the visual, each highlighting her “green.” The first look is a gold metallic dress with a fur coat.

The second one consist of a Louis Vuitton outfit, while rapping “The only way I like my green is in my purse,” focusing on her paper. The last two looks she is dressed all-black with gold accents, Gucci, and gold chains.

AdELA has been earning her stripes in this rap game over the past few years. She has released work in the past with some of hip hop’s most legendary artist such as: Fat Joe, Royce Da5’9, and others. Her contributions to Meek Mill’s “Wins and Losses” album earned her one of her greatest accolades. AdELA earned her first RIAA Certified Gold credit as a co-writer and performer on Meek Mill’s “Made it From Nothing.”
