Chicago-based Indian hip-hop artist ABHI releases “BALI” ft. Supa BWE, the first single off of his upcoming debut album “Times Up.” ABHI serenades the hard-hitting, upbeat instrumental with his melodic lyrics, with Indian musical accents embedded in the production.

The second verse is smoothly followed up by Chicago artist Supa BWE, who enters the track with a melodic verse as well. Supa may sound familiar from his viral collaboration with Chance The Rapper. Abhi D. is surely on his way to collaborating his artistry with other artists and strengthening his catalog of music. Similar to that of the Brown Boy movement led by Indian artist NAV, even though his music is in a different lane, by way of his natural talent, ABHI is going to be another one of very few indian rappers to contribute to American hip-hop music.

About ABHI: Illinois native ABHI began locking in on his music career at age 17, after he was able to perform at his school-wide assembly with an encore from the entire school body, and even in front of renowned Chicago artist Chance The Rapper at his first open mic. Since those very moments, ABHI has stayed invested in his craft. Growing up with an Indian background, but heavily influenced by hip-hop and rap culture, ABHI has found subtle ways to incorporate the essence of his Indian background into his music. One of very few Indian hip-hop artists, ABHI’s music leaves upbeat, fun-drilling touches similar to the same effect of the late Juice WRLD, Pierre Bourne, and others. ABHI has opened up for Lucki X, performed at a sold out show at the Chem House, and even performed in a battle for one of Penn State’s biggest concerts! No stranger to a stage, his early childhood love for music has definitely come to life as time passes. His resume continues to grow, and more importantly he remains true to himself. In simpler words, “Don’t be too cool, ‘cause that’s lame.” – ABHI
