East Tennessee recording artist Tyrique Shahmir released the track, “Speakeasy”. The soulful track bellows deep into the mind of a southern man contemplating on the simple pleasures of life while attempting to avoid distractions and “the bullshit”.

This is Tyrique’s second release in the past two months as he continues to generate a following as he builds up to the release of his debut project.

This prohibition era sounding record combines an old school sound with the mind state of an ambitious kid growing up in East Tennessee. Throughout the track a bellowing saxophone reinforces Shahmir’s jazz influenced upbringing and intuitive beat selection.

Shamir quotes, “to me the track is about life’s everyday obstacles and just getting through them, all of them.” The most recent affiliate to TDE’s super team, Cody Jordan, produced the soothing melodically rich track.
