Los Angeles-bred, Oakland-based emcee Mawnstr presents the RCKLSS ABNDN-directed music video for “Surrender/Brutalizin’ (RMX)”, two selections off his forthcoming debut solo EP dropping summer. “Brutalizin’ (RMX)” features fellow L.A. emcee Kaliban, and was produced by the late Julien Wari Hobobo a.k.a. VybezOne, a beloved L.A.-based producer who passed away last year. Mawnstr’s most recent release is the Why You Cryin EP, a collaboration with Cuzzo D under the moniker Not The 1s featuring production from Daedelus, Mexicans With Guns and more. Mawnstr was also part of the Connoisseurs Crew alongside P.E.A.C.E. from Freestyle Fellowship and was featured on P.E.A.C.E.’s 2003 album Gumbo.
