Lil Boosie No Longer Facing Death Penalty

0

An anonymous jury is planned for Lil Boosie’s first-degree murder trial, according to The Advocate.

The practice of secret jurors is rarely used for trials, but Boosie’s attorneys claim that the court has made an exception. The last time an anonymous jury was used in a parish case was most likely in 1987 for a case where three men were accused of slaying a drug smuggler-turned-government informant.

“It’s just something we thought would be better for the case and the jurors,’’ said East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III.

Additionally, Moore said his office is not seeking the death penalty for Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch. If convicted, he will be sentenced to life in prison.

The trial is set to begin on April 30th.

Kid Cudi Feels Mixtape Releases Are A Waste Of Time

0

Kid Cudi recently sat down to discuss why he has never been a big advocate of mixtape, and only focuses on creating quality albums.

Since 2003, Kid Cudi has been building a cult following of fans that absolutely love his music. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper recently ventured into the world or rock, teaming up with Dot Da Genius for their first full-fledged rock album entitled ‘WZRD.’

The project was considered a success, selling over 70,000 copies in its first week on retail shelves. The reviews were mixed for the project, but Cudi continues to push forward with new projects, and fans are impatiently awaiting the arrival of the next ‘Man On The Moon’ installment.

One thing that Cudi has never really been into is mixtapes. Although the mixtape scene has truly evolved into a massive promotional business for rappers, Kid Cudi has never really participated. Kid Cudi explains the logic behind his decision.

“We never really done mixtapes, because I just feel like it’s a waste of time. You know when someone goes in to do a mixtape their mindset is instantly like ‘I’m not trying to make the best music here, I’m just trying to make something to satisfy the people’” Kid Cudi added, “We don’t really like that, we kind of go in the studio and think album instantly.”
