B.G. faces eight to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in December.

New Orleans emcee B.G. will be sentenced in April for federal weapon and witness tampering charges.

NOLA.com reports that the former Hot Boy faces eight to 10 years in prison, according to sentencing recommendations from probation officers. Prosecutors, however, may push for a harsher sentence.

B.G., real name Christopher Dorsey, pleaded guilty to the charges in December, and will appear in court on April 25 before U.S. District Court Judge Ginger Berrigan.

B.G. was arrested with two other men in November 2009 for allegedly possessing three weapons, loaded magazines and two extended clips. The car he was in had been stolen from an Alamo rental car parking lot, and that two of the three guns had been reported stolen.
