Andre 3000 Dropping A Solo By Years End: Plus OutKast Album Early 2012

0

The dynamic duo will put out solo albums by year’s end in anticipation of an Outkast release next year.

Before beginning work on their current solo projects, Big Boi and Andre 3000 promised fans that their individual albums would be followed by another joint group release.

Now, HipHopWired reports that both ATLiens will drop new albums by the end of 2011, followed by the next Outkast record within a year’s time. “Outkast is on track to release a new album by early next year,” an industry source told the site. “Both Dre and Big are working on solo projects; they want those out by the end of 2011.”

In January, Big Boi revealed that he was already at work on Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader, the follow -up to his July 2010 debut album Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty, making it probable that the record would be out by year’s end. Then he revealed that Andre’s highly-anticipated solo LP would premiere before the release of his own album.

If the timing adds up correctly, this puts us on track to have three new albums from the Outkast duo within the span of a year.
